According to the National Fire Protection Association, 47,700 home fires in the U.S. are caused by electrical failure or malfunction each year.  These fires result in 418 deaths, 1,570 injuries and $1.4 billion in property damage.  Overloaded electrical circuits is a major cause of residential fires.

Due to weather conditions, the El Dorado Hills Household Hazardous Waste collection has been cancelled for Saturday, May 7th. For more information on future collection dates, please visit the HHW webpage for more information.

A Public Hearing will be held April 21, at 6:00 p.m. regarding the Property Tax Revenue Transfer from El Dorado County to El Dorado Hills County Water District of Latrobe Area Real Property Tax Revenues pursuant to Revenue and Taxation Code Section 99.02. #‎EDHFire‬ Station 91 located on 7660 South Shingle Road has been closed. An inspection was completed on the fire station and determined to have mold issues. For the safety of our employees, our crews have been moved to the Odd Fellows Hall during normal staffing hours so that we can continue to service the community of Latrobe.  We will post updates once a course of action is determined.

El Dorado County Environmental Management has cancelled the Household Hazardous Waste collection at Station 86 (Bass Lake Road) for Saturday, March 5th, due to the weather forecast.

Based on the current weather forecast, we will begin the Santa Run 30 minutes (or so) early tonight. This will allow Santa to potentially get to each Santa Stop tonight and would put each stop approximately 30 minutes earlier than what the map states.
