Fire Training Demonstration

El Dorado Hills Fire Department Honor Guard Honors Veterans...

On June 17, 2010, the El Dorado Hills Fire Department Honor Guard proudly represented the Department in honoring our Nation’s Veterans during a flagpole dedication ceremony. The ceremony, dedicating a new flag pole and plaque, honored 35 Veterans from multiple branches of the armed forces with a combined total of 382 years of service to our country. One of the Veterans is a P.O.W. that survived the Bataan Death March. These Veterans – both men and women – gave so much of their lives to protect the freedoms that we enjoy. It is amazing and humbling to sit with them and listen as they share their experiences.

Fire Exploring is a cooperative program between the El Dorado Hills Fire Department and the Learning for Life Organization.  Learn what it takes to make it in the challenging field of fire and emergency services.  Fire Service Explorer Program offers young men and women ages 14-21 the chance to experience fire and emergency service career opportunities.
