The El Dorado Hills Fire Department is accepting proposals for Communications Center Operations Analysis and Recommendations & Fire Department Communications System Assessment and Design. We are accepting proposals from qualified candidates to conduct an analysis of the current Communications Center, identify strengths and weaknesses and make recommendations where needed. Additionally, the Proposer shall concurrently conduct an analysis of the current VHF radio system and mobile data infrastructure, equipment, operation, and identify strengths and weaknesses making recommendations where needed.

On July 15, 2015, the El Dorado Hills Fire Department was awarded an $8000 grant from WIAA Insurance Services, CITA Insurance Services and Fireman's Fund Insurance Company. The grant allows us to purchase four Automated External Defibrillators (AED's) for our volunteer firefighting apparatus and Fireline EMT assignments.

In an effort to reduce the threat from dry vegetation in our community, vacant lot owners will be receiving letters in the mail explaining the Unimproved Property Hazard Reduction Standard (weed abatement program). If you are an owner of an unimproved parcel up to 5 acres in size, you are responsible for complying with this Standard. The initial inspections have already been completed. Second inspections will be conducted after May 25, 2015.

To ensure the safety of our youngest citizens, car seats are inspected for proper installation by a Certified Passenger Safety Technician for FREE. These inspections take place at Station 85 (1050 Wilson Blvd., El Dorado Hills, CA 95762) by appointment only.
