Life Jacket Loaner Program for Safe Boating

Wear a life vest, save a life. The El Dorado Hills Fire Department offers free adult life jackets to local boaters through the Life Jacket Loaner Program, sponsored by the U.S. and California Boats and Waterways Association.

How it works:

1. Provide a California driver's license and the approximate weight of the person needing the life jacket.
2. Complete a simple form.
3. Pick up a life jacket — available for free and for use up to three days.

The program is available year-round and is especially popular during peak boating season. Life jackets can be picked up at Station 84 and Station 85.
