Fire Prevention Month

Each October, our personnel visit local schools to teach students about fire safety, emergency preparedness, and the importance of working smoke alarms. These interactive visits are tailored by age group and often include firefighter demonstrations, fire engine tours, and safety handouts.

Smoke Detector Program

We offer free smoke detectors and installation assistance to qualifying residents in El Dorado Hills and Latrobe, including older adults and those with accessibility needs. This effort helps ensure that every home is equipped with working alarms, a critical step in early fire detection and survival.

 Junior Firefighter Program

This hands-on program introduces younger community members to the roles and responsibilities of firefighters. Participants learn basic safety tips, explore firefighting gear, and gain insight into the value of teamwork, responsibility, and community service.

Community Events and Safety Presentations

From neighborhood gatherings to safety fairs and open houses, our team participates in a range of events where we provide fire extinguisher demos, home safety tips, wildfire preparedness education, and more. We also offer group presentations tailored to schools, businesses, and community organizations upon request.
