The El Dorado Hills Fire Department is committed to helping train the community in lifesaving CPR. Station Tours

We are pleased to provide tours of our facilities to our local schools, pre-schools and other community organizations.  Tours can be scheduled by calling our Administrative Office and ask for Sandy Sanders (916) 933-6623 or email ssanders@edhfire.com.

Life Jacket Loaner

Use a life vest, save a life.  El Dorado Hills Fire Department received a grant from the Life Jacket Loaner Program sponsored by the U.S. and California Boats and Waterways Association which loans flotation devices to local boaters.  The process is simple:  provide a California drivers license and the approximate weight of the person needing the life jacket, complete a form – and save a life.  Jackets can be borrowed for up to three days.  While this is the peak season for usage, the program is available year round.  If you have any questions about the program contact the El Dorado Hills Fire Department at 916-933-6623.

Community Service Workers

We allow teenagers to work off community service hours at the Station. This could be for young people who are in trouble with the law or for students who need hours for their Government Class. Call and ask for Deputy Chief Dennis Planje at (916)523-1358 or email dplanje@edhfire.com

Safe Place

All El Dorado Hills Fire Stations are designated as a "Safe Place" for runaway children, and abused citizens. Anyone who needs a safe place in his or her time of need is welcome to use this service. Help will be contacted upon arrival at the Fire Station.

Buckle Up Baby

  • To ensure the safety of our youngest citizens, the El Dorado Hills Fire Department adopted the Buckle Up Baby program.  Residents can bring in their child car seats for installation or adjustment to Station 84 located at 2180 Francisco Drive. Our Buckle Up Baby Program is now by appointment only on the first Thursday of every month by calling (916)933-6623.
