Plan Check Process
- Fill out the El Dorado Hills Fire Department Plan Check Submittal Form available at above website or at the El Dorado Hills Fire Department located at 1050 Wilson Blvd., El Dorado Hills, CA 95762.
- Commercial Projects - A minimum of two sets of plans shall be submitted for review on roadways, land splits, buildings, tenant improvements, fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, commercial hood systems, etc. One set of plans will be maintained at the fire department through the end of the project.
- Residential Projects - One set of floor plans and site plans including the driveway profile shall be submitted for residential plan checks per the detailed instructions found on the Residential Plan Submittal Requirements. This plan set will be returned.
- Provide a check for the appropriate deposit at the time of plan submittal as indicated on the Plan Check Submittal Form.
- The deposit check will be held with a copy of the Plan Check Submittal Form until the plan check is complete. The final fee will be determined after the plan check is complete.
- You will be notified by telephone or email when the plan review is complete and ready for pick-up.
- Plans will be electronically approved on El Dorado County LMIS after receipt of the final plan check payment.
- The copy of the approved plans marked “EDHFD JOBSET” must be available on the jobsite at all scheduled inspections.
