El Dorado County Environmental Management has cancelled the Household Hazardous Waste collection at the Bass Lake Road Fire Station for September 1, 2018 due to the holiday weekend.

El Dorado Hills Fire will be conducting an Active Shooter Training tomorrow, July 20th at Oak Ridge High School. There will be several emergency vehicles responding to the scene. Responding personnel will be practicing active shooter scenarios while #ORHS students will be acting out the part. Do not be alarmed as this is only a training scenario. Please share this information to spread the word.

El Dorado County Environmental Management has cancelled the Household Hazardous Waste collection at the Bass Lake Road Fire Station for July 21, 2018.

The El Dorado Hills County Water District intends to adopt or amend a conflict-of-interest code. A written comment period has been established commencing on July 19, 2018 and terminating on September 1, 2018. Please see the public notice for more details.

Household Hazardous Waste collection at the Bass Lake Road Fire Station has been cancelled for March 17, 2018 due to inclement weather.

It was recently reported to us that there are individuals making phone calls and sending mail posing as a local Fire Department representative soliciting funds to support our Fire Department. This is a SCAM. Please do NOT give any information or money to these individuals as they have no relation to our Fire Department. If you are contacted, please report the information to El Dorado Sheriff's Office at (530) 621-5655.

El Dorado Hills Firefighters' Association is now accepting scholarship applications for 2018. The eligibility list and application can be found on the Scholarship webpage. El Dorado County Environmental Management operates a hazardous household waste collection site at Station 86 located at 3670 Bass Lake Road in El Dorado Hills. This site is open on the first and third Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, excluding holiday weekends and weather permitting (raining or over 100 degrees).  If you have any additional questions, you can contact El Dorado County Environmental Management at (530) 621-5300. To avoid waiting in long lines, you can schedule an appointment for dropping off your Household Hazardous Waste on El Dorado County's website.
