Station 84 Redevelopment Status

PARDON OUR MESS!  Thank you El Dorado Hills Community for your patience while we are rebuilding Fire Station 84!

If you have had an opportunity to drive by Station 84 on Francisco Drive lately, you have undoubtedly seen that it’s fenced all the way around and there has been a steady stream of Fire Department activity. We recognize it’s present condition doesn’t quite fit into the neighborhood and we apologize for this.

The reason the station looks as disheveled as it does is because we have taken this unique opportunity to get training for our crews. The roof has been cut, the doors have been forced, the walls have been breached, and countless other fire suppression and rescue trainings have occurred. This training provides our Firefighters with real-life opportunities to practice their life saving techniques and better prepare them to meet the emergency response needs of our community. The transition process has provided regional training opportunities for multiple public safety agencies.

We are rapidly approaching the end of the planning/training phase and are currently scheduled to begin demolition in late Spring, early Summer of 2014.   Stay tuned to our website and Facebook page. As we enter the demolition and construction phases of the project, we will regularly update the EDHFD Facebook page with photos and projected timelines.

Currently, we are using a temporary location for Station 84 which is located at 2222 Francisco Drive, Suite 110 (next to Burger Hut). Thank you again for your patience during this time.
